Contraindications

Dermalogica Neurosculpt is not recommended if you have

• Active cold sores / oral infections

• Recent dental work or surgery i.e. extractions, implants, and root canals within a 2-3 week period.

• Severe TMJ pain or jaw instability

• Active cystic acne or inflammatory skin conditions

• Facial and oral cancer - during radiation or chemotherapy

Precautions

Please advise your skin therapist if the following apply to enable appropriate treatment modifications or deferral

• Facial fillers or Botox within the last 2-3 weeks - Defer to avoid product migration.

• Pregnancy - Defer in first trimester

• Conditions affecting nerve sensation i.e. bell’s palsy, trigeminal neuralgia

• Clients undergoing orthodontic treatment and/or orthodontic braces

Need to know

We use Dermalogica professional grade products that require patch testing at least 24 hours prior to your treatment. We maintain the right to cancel or defer treatment if it is deemed unadvisable to proceed due to specific contraindication.

Laser skin rejuvenation is a popular cosmetic procedure that can help rejuvenate the skin and reduce the effects of the sun, aging, and some facial skin disorders. Treatments are safe, effective, and convenient. Treatment provide the most benefit to those with mild to moderate sun-damaged skin. To achieve optimal benefit, 4 to 6 treatments may be necessary at 3 to 4 weeks intervals . Non -Ablative facial treatment with Cynosure Elite Laser machine has minimal posttreatment – care requirements. The clients may return to normal activities after treatment.

For better results, the clients are to avoid the sun exposure, tanning beds, tanning creams and sunless tanning lotion for one week prior to the treatments and throughout the course of their laser treatment.  Sun protection SPF30 or greater should be applied.
